Manchester United’s television dominance in the FA Cup is set to continue, with their 56th consecutive match being televised.
The Red Devils have Crystal Palace to thank after Sam Allardyce’s side overcame Bolton Wanderers 2-1 in their third-round replay on Tuesday evening.
The Daily Mail reports that BBC One would have televised a clash between Manchester City and Bolton had the Championship outfit caused an upset, but following the result, United’s encounter against Wigan Athletic on Sunday, January 29, will be broadcast live.

The FA Cup holders are favourites to progress when they take on the Latics, who now have ex-United reserve coach Warren Joyce in charge.
Each of United’s matches in the competition have been screened over the past 12 years, and the run began with a replay against Exeter in 2005.
It is no surprise that the Premier League giants are ever-present in the FA Cup television schedule given that they have won the trophy on 12 occasions, the most recent being last season when they defeated Palace 2-1 in extra time at Wembley.
