Harry Redknapp has hinted that Robbie Keane may be sacrificed this summer in order to raise transfer funds.

The Tottenham boss has been clearly frustrated at the club’s failure to secure any new signings and has bemoaned the lack of activity within the market. Redknapp clearly has to sell before his can improve his squad at White Hart Lane, but unfortunately has been unable to cash in on some of the fringe members of his squad.

Robbie Keane is one of the players that will be sold if a suitable offer comes in, although Harry would be sad to see him leave:

“Robbie is a fantastic professional, I still think he’s a great player. He’s a player you don’t want to lose.

“I really want to keep him because he’s difficult to replace, but if you want to buy players you’ve got to raise some money from somewhere.

“If Robbie’s one of a few who you can sell, then maybe that happens.”
